Frequently asked questions

The questions parents ask us most, answered plainly. Everything here reflects how the product actually works today.

Screen timeHow much time will my child spend on the app?

Every adventure is designed as a short, complete session, not an endless feed. There's no mechanic built to artificially extend time spent on the app.

Data securityWhat do you do with my child's data?

We collect only the minimum needed to run the experience, and we never use it for advertising. Our practices are assessed against COPPA (US), GDPR (EU/UK), PIPL (China), and Australia's Children's Online Privacy Code. Full detail is in our privacy policy.

Data securityCan I see, correct, or delete my account's data?

Yes. As the parent, you're in full control of the account: you can view, correct, export, or delete anything we hold about your family.

ContentIs the content appropriate for my child's age?

The active age tier today is 8–13, with pacing and vocabulary designed for that range. Other age tiers are in development.

ContentWhere does the information in Maggie's stories come from?

Every story draws on vetted sources (UNESCO, official tourism boards, Encyclopaedia Britannica, biodiversity databases like iNaturalist depending on the topic). Full detail, destination by destination, is on our References & Sources page.

SubscriptionDo I need a card to try it?

No. The 14-day trial requires no card. At the end of the trial, your account automatically moves to a free tier — you only move to paid if you choose to.

SubscriptionCan I cancel anytime?

Yes, with no commitment and no need to give a reason.

SubscriptionHow many child profiles can I create?

It depends on the plan: 1 child profile on Explorer, up to 4 on Family, and unlimited on Explorer Plus. Every account also includes two parent profiles as standard, whichever plan you choose.

AdvertisingIs there advertising in the app?

No. No advertising, and no aggressive engagement mechanics (dark patterns) — that's a founding principle of the product.

SupportHow do I contact support if I have an issue?

You can write directly to hello@maggiesadventuresuniverse.com — requests are read by the team itself, not an outsourced call centre.
